SCOTT MCDONALD

Managing Attorney

smile Scott McDonald is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of California. Dedicated to assisting consumers and homeowners in these difficult times, his practice is currently focused exclusively on consumer issues relating to bankruptcy and real estate matters.

Mr. McDonald earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. While studying law, Mr. McDonald completed additional coursework from the prestigious Straus Instition for Dispute Resolution. The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution is recognized as the foremost academic center for dispute resolution and has been ranked as the #1 law school dispute resolution program in the nation for the 6th consecutive year by U.S. News and World Report. The incomparable curriculum from Straus, along with the law curriculum at Pepperdine, has provided Mr. McDonald a unique perspective and approach to solving his clients' problems. Along with the typical academic success, he also earned 5 intramural championships in a variety of different sports.

Prior to founding McDonald Law Firm, Mr. McDonald had the privilege of working with large, well respected law firms in Southern California and Central California, where he learned from highly regarded and distinguished attorneys. Although Mr. McDonald has experience practicing in several areas of law, including real estate, landlord/tenant law, business and general litigation, his main focus during his professional career has been bankruptcy. During that time, he has successfully guided hundreds of clients from all walks of life from the initial consultation through to the discharge and closure of the case. His broad experience has provided him with a vision of how to respectfully and competently represent individuals during difficult financial times.

It is also important to note that, after living in Argentina and studying Spanish for a number of years, Mr. McDonald is fluent in Spanish. He takes great pride in the fact that he is very comfortable (and really enjoys) giving legal advice in Spanish.

On a personal note, when Mr. McDonald is not advocating for the rights of consumers, he can usually be found surfing, participating in some sort of athletic event, or spending time with his family. He is married to the girl of his dreams and is very proud of his two young children.
